Call for Papers: Write for

Arab Media and Society

Arab Media and Society traces how societies in the Arab World are shaped through the emergence, growth and convergence of mass media. The journal is not just interested in media outlets and technologies, but the changing content of media in the Middle East. We are also very interested in both cultural producers (journalists, media professionals, celebrities) and cultural consumers, as well as relationships between the two.

Within this remit, we welcome submissions from professional journalists, and from academics of all disciplinary perspectives, including anthropology, political science, media and film studies, history, and sociology. The journal is committed to combining academic peer-reviewed articles with timely well informed on-the-ground accounts of developments related to the region's media.

Studies to be considered for inclusion may be no longer than 10,000 words, including footnotes, and must conform to The Chicago Manual of Style.
